Guo Yizhi, president of Singapore's developer giant Urban Development Group (CDL), participated in the environmental protection and tree planting activities of urban development on Monday morning (March 10). I believe this is his first public corporate event after the company's “power seizure” broke out.
Among the many senior group personnel attending the event, there were also his cousin and Chief Operating Officer of Urban Development Group Guo Yisheng.
According to a statement issued by the Urban Development Group on Monday (March 10), the Urban Development held an unveiling event for the renovated old subway train carriages and miniature tropical forests.
President Shandaman was invited to serve as a guest. The solar-powered “CDL EcoTrain” is located in City Green Park next to the City Square Mall. The exhibition and interactive screens in the car convey environmental knowledge to visitors.

Urban development has also joined forces with the ecological science and biological science experts from the National University of Singapore and the National Parks Administration to plant a variety of tropical plants in the park to create miniature tropical deep forests.

Shandaman also planted trees with Guo Yizhi to hold an opening ceremony for a 2,800 square foot micro tropical forest.

Urban Development owns and operates the City Square, the retail real estate project is the first mall to be integrated with the adjacent park.
“We set up urban development eco-trains and micro forests to convey sustainable development information in line with the renovation of the City Square. Since its opening in 2009, the City Square has become Singapore's first eco-mall with innovative community spaces, which can be used to host sustainable development and educational events such as the Singapore Institute of Sustainability.”
This is believed to be the first time Guo Yizhi has appeared in public after he fell out with his father Guo Lingming, who is the executive chairman of the Urban Development Group.
On the morning of February 26, it was originally a press conference for the release of urban development performance. Guo Yizhi was originally expected to attend, but the press conference was temporarily cancelled. Then, the “power seizure” incident between Guo Lingming and Guo Yizhi and others broke out.
At around 11 a.m. that day, Guo Lingming issued an open letter accusing his eldest son Guo Yizhi of trying to “seize power”, and also stated that he would take all necessary legal measures to protect the company's governance standards and shareholder interests. He submitted documents to the court that if the legal lawsuit is successful, his nephew Guo Yisheng will serve as interim president.
Subsequently, Guo Yizhi was originally scheduled to host the International Women's Day forum of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Singapore on March 2, but he temporarily replaced the person.
Guo Yisheng also attended Monday's tree planting event and took a group photo with Shangdaman, Guo Yizhi and several senior officials.
