Reform Party Secretary-General Kenneth was once again accused of making false remarks on social media, and for the ninth time, he received correction instructions under the Act to prevent online false information and network manipulation. Kenneth stayed overseas and did not return. The government urged the public to act cautiously and verify the facts when reading Kenneth's articles.
The Ministry of Finance issued a statement on Friday (March 14), saying that Kenneth posted a Facebook post on March 3 about housing prices and immigration policies, which contained false statements or violated the Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Act (POFMA).
Xu Fangda, Minister of Transport and Second Minister of Finance, has issued correction instructions to Kenneth, requiring him to attach correction notices and government clarification links to the relevant Facebook posts so that readers can make their own judgment after reading the content of both parties.
The statement pointed out that this was the ninth time that Kenneth had received correction instructions. His personal website The Ricebowl Singapore, as well as accounts on social media Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn platforms have been listed as Declared Online Location until December 11 this year.
Despite this, Kenneth continued to make false and misleading remarks about government policies and the operation of public institutions. The statement also pointed out that the Kenneths were abroad and had not returned to China for investigation.

Treasury refutes Kenneth's allegations
The Ministry of Finance pointed out that Kenneth's post on the 3rd accused the government of deliberately raising land prices, including HDB prices, to increase reserves by monopolizing land supply and immigration policies, which is untrue.
The Ministry of Finance refuted that the government's land management method is based on the national planning and development needs, rather than maximizing the benefits of land sale or increasing reserves. The facts have been clearly stated in another POFMA correction directive issued to Kenneth last July.
Secondly, the government's immigration policy aims to alleviate the impact of aging and low fertility rates on our citizens' population.
Third, when determining the land price, the chief appraiser will refer to relevant factors such as relevant resale transactions on the open market and specific characteristics of the location. The chief appraiser operates independently and professional evaluations are not affected by the government.
