Chen Zhensheng: Cai Ruilong will continue to take care of the residents of Queen Town

Minister of Education, Chen Zhensheng, who led the five-member team of Tanjong Pagar Constituency, said that Cai Ruilong, senior deputy governor of the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth and Social and Family Development, “will continue to take care of the residents of Queen's Town.”

When attending DBS Group's event at Tiong Bahru Plaza on Saturday (March 15), Chen Zhensheng invited Cai Ruilong to come on stage and said to residents: “Don't worry, he will continue to take care of Queen's Town, and the entire Tanjong Pagar team will continue to take care of you.”

Regarding whether to go to the newly divided Queen Town single constituency, Cai Ruilong told reporters in an interview: “The plan has not been determined yet, so it is too early to speculate.”

“Life continues, I will still visit home every weekend, and the activities and affairs of Queen's Town will also be carried out as usual,” he said.

As of February 1, there were 28,857 voters in the new Queen's Town, and Cai Ruilong is now in charge.

Queen's Town has been part of the Tanjong Pagar Constituency for many general elections. However, in the constituency review report released on Tuesday (11th), Queen's Town was classified as a single constituency, and Dover and Telau Branya, which were originally part of the West Coast Group constituency, were classified as Tanjong Pagar constituency.

Currently, the five-member team of Tanjong Pagar Constituency, in addition to Chen Zhensheng and Cai Ruilong, also includes Yinglani, Minister of the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and the Ministry of National Development, Chen Shenghui, Minister of Government of the Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, and Zuan Qingxin.
