Zhongxin.com Lanzhou, January 25th (Gao Hongshan, Wei Jianjun) The Akesai Kazakh Autonomous County of Jiuquan City, Gansu Province, recently photographed the Snow Leopard video for the first time. This healthy snow leopard walks through the trail at night and stays on a rock wall. I got my own "smell".

At the end of October 2018, experts from the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) conducted an inspection of the snow leopard habitat in Axe, and carried out snow leopard protection monitoring in the Qilian Mountains at an altitude of more than 3,000 meters. The staff walked through the Dalanggou and the glacial gorges, walked on foot, found wild animals, traces of dead bones, and installed 20 infrared cameras in the place where the snow leopards were found.

After more than two months of monitoring, two videos of Snow Leopard were recorded on December 16, 2018 and January 4, 2019, in the first infrared camera retrieved.

The videos are from the World Wildlife Fund in Ake, Gansu. Snow leopard protection at the western end of the Selelian Mountains and the Altun Mountains provides first-hand valuable information.

Snow Leopard is mainly in the Himalayas region. It is also known as the “King of Snow Mountain” because of its long-term activity near the snow line and snow. It is a national first-class wild protected animal and one of the most precious and endangered species in the world. It is recognized that the number of snow leopards is only 4,500 to 7,500.

In 2018, the National Forestry and Grassland Bureau and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) signed a memorandum of cooperation for the 2018-2019, which included snow leopard protection in Sichuan, Gansu and Qinghai as important contents.

WWF and the former Gansu Provincial Forestry Department signed the "Ministry of Forestry of Gansu Province and the World Heritage Foundation (Switzerland) Beijing Representative Office (2018-2021)" in late April 2018. The main content of the memorandum is Snow leopard protection work was carried out in landscape areas such as Qilian Mountain, Altun Mountain and Animaqing Mountain in Gansu.

Previously, Dr. Zhang Changzhi, Senior Project Commissioner of the World Wide Fund for Nature, said that the main purpose of the visit was to monitor the snow leopard. The main monitoring method was to capture the snow leopard image using a traditional infrared camera. In addition to field monitoring work, activities such as civic participation, personnel training, and missions will be carried out. People are expected to participate in the protection of snow leopards, protect the environment, and protect beautiful homes.
