Brazilian police seized the cell phone of former President Jair Bolsonaro during a raid at his home in Brasilia on Wednesday. The search was conducted as part of an investigation into Bolsonaro’s COVID-19 vaccination records.
Bolsonaro has long insisted he never received a vaccination for the coronavirus at any time during the pandemic, and denied playing any part in any alleged forging of documents that could claim otherwise. “For my part, there was nothing falsified.
I didn’t take the vaccine. Period,” Bolsonaro told journalists on Wednesday.
Bolsonaro, a vocal skeptic of the COVID-19 vaccine, tested positive for the virus in July of 2020.
