Mr. Chen is a villager in Linjiang Village, Xiwei Town, Fu’an City. He currently works in Fu’an City. Talking about the back passage of the Fu’an service area that was just opened to traffic, he couldn’t help but sigh: “In the past, if I wanted to go home after get off work, I had to take the expressway from Fu’an. After getting off the expressway at Wanwu Station, you still have to drive on the national highway for ten minutes. The road conditions are not very good on the way, and the round trip takes at least an hour and a half. Now that you are on the expressway in Fu’an, you can get off the expressway at the back passage of the Fu’an service area and go directly to the village, so there is no need to go back and forth. In one hour, it is much more convenient and safer.”
Due to traffic congestion, Ximi Town has not been able to catch up with the good opportunity of the wave of industrial investment and construction even though it is located on the coast of Fujian. It was not until the opening of the back passage of the Fu’an service area that Ximi Town had its first expressway entrance and exit.
Although it is accessible in only one direction (vehicles coming from Ningde to Xiwei and vehicles heading to Wenzhou on the Xiwei Expressway can use this convenient channel), this is already a huge improvement in Xiwei’s transportation. Important entrances and exits in villages such as Pi will further promote the efficient flow of people, logistics and information.
Taking advantage of the location advantages of opening the back passage and being adjacent to the Fu’an service area of the Shenhai Expressway, Linjiang Village, Xipi Village, etc. are jointly built with the Fu’an Service Area to introduce agricultural products such as dried seafood and navel oranges into the Fu’an Service Area of the Shenhai Expressway, providing services to the village. New channels have been opened for agricultural product sales.
“After the back passage is opened, you can go directly to the expressway when you leave the village. On the one hand, it saves travel time and transportation costs. On the other hand, it also attracts many tourists to the village for sightseeing and picking. The effect on increasing the income of our fruit farmers is quite obvious.” Mr. Li, a navel orange grower, told reporters that now that transportation is more convenient, more people will know about Fu’an navel oranges in the future. Fruit farmers are full of expectations for the future.
