The temporary “safe haven” programme will allow Hongkongers to work in the US.⁠

Because of possible political persecution upon their return, residents from the city are exempt from being forced to leave if their visas expire.⁠

Those who hold a Hong Kong passport, British National (Overseas) passport or a Hong Kong identity card are eligible.⁠
