Villagers in Western India’s #Nashik district are going to great lengths for fresh water, with many #women risking their lives descending deep into this well to fill up their small containers.
Residents say they have been struggling to get clean #water for a decade. Women walk two miles to the well to get murky water they say is unsuitable for drinking.
May and June are some of #India’s hottest months and these water shortages aren’t new. Many are calling on the government for help.
