2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan. At this important historical node, “Forever Neighbors – Photographic Exhibition Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Normalization of Sino-Japanese Diplomatic Relations” was held at the China Millennium Monument in Beijing from June 8 to 12.

This photography exhibition aims to revisit the original intention, exchange and learn from each other, face the future, and use photography to enhance the artistic exchange and dialogue between China and Japan. The photography exhibition is supported by the China Public Diplomacy Association and the Japanese Embassy in China, and is jointly organized by the Beijing International Photography Week 2022 Organizing Committee, the China Art Photography Society and the World Chinese Photography Alliance. It is understood that the theme of this exhibition is “peace, friendship and cooperation”, and the main line is non-governmental exchanges. A total of nearly 20,000 photos were collected. The exhibition displayed more than 200 photos taken by photographers and photography enthusiasts from China and Japan. work. The exhibition is divided into three chapters: “Reviewing the Old and Knowing the New”, “Looking across the Sea” and “Facing the Future”, looking back at the ups and downs of the relationship between the two countries over the past 50 years, showing Japan in the eyes of the Chinese and China in the eyes of the Japanese, and expressing the youth of the two countries. Yearning for a peaceful life forever.
