Apple has been banned from selling the iPhone 16 series in Indonesia due to failure to meet the country’s requirement for investment, which had required Apple to make an investment commitment of $109 million USD ($1.71 trillion rupiah) in Indonesia’s infrastructure and local sourcing.
According to a report, Apple has fallen short of its commitment, with the iPhone maker raising roughly $95 million USD ($1.48 trillion rupiah), falling short of the alleged target. The ban includes all iPhone 16 models, including the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro series.
