Time for an update on our feral boy Georgie!
We last posted about Georgie in December when he got a full mouth extraction done to address his stomatitis. Ouch! Since then, he’s been recovering with one of our team members.
It’s been difficult for Georgie to properly groom himself and we noticed some of his coat was matted. Thankfully, he was seen at @bbawcrescueclinic yesterday where he received a checkup and a sanitary shave.
Although our feral friend has a good appetite, he was noted to be a bit underweight. We will be providing him with high calorie gel along with kitten food to help with weight gain. Georgie got his ears cleaned and was also sent home with some doxycycline and prednisolone. We’re glad he has a warm and toasty crate to recover in during this super cold season!
Hopefully Georgie will be feeling (and looking) better in the coming weeks. Once Georgie has fully recovered and it gets warmer, we will work on a plan to release him.
