The 70-year-old employer thinks that cooking is not bad, maid says he is stressed and “escapes from home”

The 70-year-old employer felt that the newly hired maid was not suitable for her appetite and was slow to cook, so she refused to let her work. The maid said she was under tremendous pressure and left on her own after working for two months.

The victim, Ms. Lian (78 years old), told the Xinming Daily that although she was healthy and able to go out alone, her son often went abroad to work and was worried that she would be at home alone, so she invited an Indonesian maid in September last year.

She said that the maid came to work locally for the first time, but said she had worked as a maid in Hong Kong before and had rich experience.

“But after she came, I found that she only plays with her phone every day. I'm picky about diet, and the way she cut vegetables or the taste of cooking was not to my liking, so I decided to cook by myself and not let her interfere.”

Even the lady said that the maid only washes her own clothes and does not help her, and she can only act on her own.

After working at Ms. Lian's house for about two months, the maid left home on her own while she was out for exercise one morning, and returned to pick up her clothes and luggage the next day with an agent.

The reporter contacted the maid's agent, and the person in charge who did not want to be named revealed that according to the maid, Ms. Lian was unwilling to let the maid handle housework, which caused her to face great pressure and chose to leave.

“She has now been referred to another employer, and the new employer is very satisfied with her and says she is very good at taking care of the elderly.”

The agent also said that according to his understanding, even the lady was unwilling to hire a maid, but she just followed her son's arrangements, so she would handle everything by herself and not let the maid help.

On the other hand, the old woman also said that the thousands of new bills placed in the drawer disappeared, and suspected that the maid was holding her hands when she left, but she was left alone after calling the police without evidence. The intermediary also confirmed in an interview that the maid had been questioned by the police but was fine. The case has been closed now, and the maid's new employer also said that she performed well.
