On Wednesday (February 19), the Land Transport Authority announced that in order to ensure a more stable supply of vehicles that can be used to provide car-hailing services, it shall stipulate from now on all newly registered or converted commercial private car-hailing services, and from To convert a personal private car into a private car under a company, it must follow a three-year mandatory “lock-in period”.

The Lu Transportation Bureau said that this is to ensure that companies that purchase fleets for private car catching purposes are mainly to rent vehicles to drivers to provide car catching services, and to prevent early conversion to general private cars, which affects the supply of point-to-point passenger services.

Starting from February 19, newly registered private car hikes for enterprises must be retained for private car hikes for at least three years. They cannot be converted until the end of the “lockdown period”, even if the fleet is sold to another company before that, they will take over The company must also follow the remaining “lockdown period”.

This new regulations only affects private car catchers owned by companies and does not affect people who use personal car to provide car catchers.
