DBS Group (DBS) promoted two personnel to senior staff, one of which was Welson Jamin, head of technology and operations at the corporate and institutional banking operations and international centers. He will become the new group chief operating officer.
DBS Group issued a statement on Tuesday (February 18) saying that Jiamin has 25 years of technological and operational experience at DBS. He has led the transformation process through extensive use of workflows, improving processes and adopting generative AI responses.

Another promoted person is Chen Zeling, the current head of corporate and institutional banking in Singapore, who will replace Gu Jiaxiang as the group's managing director and head of corporate and institutional banking in Singapore.
Chen Zeling has more than 20 years of banking experience and has worked in banking in many places. Since 2008, he has joined DBS Bank, where he has held several senior positions in institutional banking and served as the president of DBS Bank's Australian branch.
The group earlier announced the appointment of Gu Jiaxiang as the head of the group's audit department.
