The fire at Kranzhi Waste Recycling Management Company has been under control, but has caused damage to the building structure instability. The authorities have sent unmanned fire extinguishers and drones to reduce the risk of injury.

The fire occurred at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at a recycling and waste management company at 11 Kranzhi Bend.

Singapore Civil Defense Forces posted on Facebook at 3:54 pm on Wednesday (February 19) that the fire was under control but the building structure was not stable. “To minimize the risks faced by frontline personnel, firefighting operations are using driverless technology, including the dispatch of four unmanned fire extinguishers and one drone.”

Fire extinguishing operations are still in progress to extinguish the remaining fires deep in the building.
