Last year's A-level examination results were released on Friday (February 21), with the passing rate exceeding 93.9% in 2023, reaching 94.2%, setting a new high.
The Ministry of Education and the Singapore Examination and Evaluation Bureau issued a statement saying that a total of 10,899 candidates participated in the 2024 A-level examination, of which 10,255 were admitted to majoring in at least three subjects (H2), as well as understanding and writing. Passed by (General Paper) or Knowledge and Inquiry.
This time the passing rate exceeded 94% for the first time since the A-level course update in 2006, setting a record high. The passing rates from 2020 to 2023 are 93.6%, 93.4%, 93.5% and 93.9% respectively.
A notice from the Ministry of Education and the Examination and Evaluation Bureau pointed out that graduates who are interested in applying for local public universities and applying for scholarships can check the websites of each school and submit applications online without submitting A-level physical certificates.
If qualified A-level graduates who go to the School of Science and Technology, they can be exempted from taking some units and are expected to graduate one year earlier. There are a total of 135 courses for them to consider. Graduates who intend to enroll in April this year can submit an application directly to the Institute of Technology from February 23 to March 6.
