Three teenagers were suspected of injuring the 16-year-old boy's face and robbing him of 60 yuan. They were quickly arrested by the police after the incident and were charged in court on Friday (February 21).

The case occurred at 2:55 am on Thursday (20th) and was located downstairs of HDB Building 657, Yishun Road 4. Police issued a statement Thursday night saying that according to preliminary investigation, a 16-year-old victim was beaten by three other teenagers and robbed of 60 yuan of cash. The victim was required to be hospitalized for treatment due to facial injuries.

Police officers from Woodlands and Ang Mo Kio Police Departments confirmed the identity of the three people after investigation and reviewing the videos.

In the statement, the police emphasized that they should adopt a zero-tolerance attitude towards such criminal acts and will spare no effort to arrest criminals and deal with them in accordance with the law.

In addition, the police advise the public that if they encounter similar situations, they should try to remain calm, record the external characteristics of the person involved and call the police for help as soon as possible.

According to the charge, the three teenagers are 17-year-old Danyer, 16-year-old Ryan, and 16-year-old Sufian. They are accused of jointly robbing another 16-year-old Shafi Ashar and robbing the inner ranks. A wallet with 60 yuan in cash.

Three teenagers were charged under Article 394 of the Criminal Code. If robbery and injured someone is convicted, they will face five to 20 years in prison, plus no less than 12 whippings.
