Chen Yijun, a new face of the People's Action Party and the second consultant to the Tampines grassroots organization, served in Tampines for about nine months, visiting the constituency four to six times a week. Another new face, chairman of the Tampines Boulevard People's Club Management Committee, Lan Yanli, has been serving at the Tampines grassroots level for about a year.

On Saturday morning (February 22), Chen Yijun attended the promotion ceremony of the Tampines Boulevard Park in Tampines Boulevard Park.

In an interview with Lianhe Zaobao, she later revealed that she started serving in Tampines about nine months ago and now visits the constituency four to six times a week. This arrangement has been going on for some time.

“It feels like many years have passed. I gradually got to know the residents here, and I have become busier and greener, and more and more residents have emailed me. This is a good development, and I hope it can be maintained. This interaction.”

She attended the “Makeup Art in Neighborhood” event in Tampines on Friday (21st) evening, and is also expected to attend another community event on Sunday (23rd).

Chen Yijun said that in addition to hoping to help solve residents' pain points and explain policies to them, her concerns include population aging, promotion of active age, mental health, and youth issues.

Another new face of the PAP, Lam Yanli, operations director of Shalom International Movers, also attended Saturday's event.

Lan Yanliyuan serves in the Zhongbang Division of Yishunji Constituency and has frequently appeared in Tampines grassroots activities in recent months. However, he is more with other grassroots leaders of Tampiney and did not share the same stage with the five members of Tampiney MPs and Chen Yijun.

Lan Yanli told Lianhe Zaobao that he was active at the Tampines Boulevard Community Club for about a year and is currently the chairman of the Tampines Boulevard Community Club Management Committee (CCMC).

The People's Club, expected to be completed in 2029, will be part of a commercial and residential integrated development project located at the junction of Road 6 and Road 11 of Tampines. This will be the sixth mass club in Tampines Town, serving residents of new pre-order HDB flats in Tampines North and future executive condominiums.
