Another shared car caught fire on the expressway, alarming the civil defense forces and the police.

The New Tomb Daily reported earlier that a BlueSG shared car caught fire on the Bukit Tima Expressway (BKE) on Monday (February 17), and one person was sent to the hospital for minor burns during the incident.

Now another shared car GetGo catches fire on the road. The incident occurred at 9:15 pm on Friday (21st) at Seleda Expressway (SLE). According to the video uploaded by Sgfollowsall, a GetGo car caught fire and the front of the car was in a fierce fire and rolling black smoke came out. Police officers were present to direct traffic, while firefighters were preparing to put out the fire.

As can be seen in the video, vehicles avoid the two lanes on the left and drive towards the right lane.

When responding to the New Ming Daily inquiry, GetGo said that they received the notice on Friday night and immediately sent a team to provide necessary assistance. The spokesperson said their priority was to ensure the safety of affected users, but fortunately no one was injured in the accident.

He also pointed out that the car involved in the incident is not an electric car. “We assure the community and the public that we take this incident very seriously and are conducting a thorough investigation to understand the underlying causes.”
