A Singapore-born businesswoman and physicist will enter space on a Blue Origin spacecraft at 9:30 am on Tuesday (February 25) US time.
Elaine Chia Hyde, currently with dual nationality in Australia and the United States, is one of the six crew members of the NS-30 suborbital flight mission announced by Blue Origin recently, except for one who refuses to Of the remaining five crew members who revealed their identity, only Elaine is a female.
Elaine lives in Florida, USA and is an entrepreneur, physicist and pilot. She founded the news media company Chicago Star and Eastside Enterprises, which focuses on the research and development of AI media products.
“Sometimes we have to choose to take risks,” Elaine said.

Born in Singapore, her mother works as a quality control engineer at a communications system company and her father is a telecom engineer. When Elaine was four, her parents immigrated to Australia and started a computer distribution company. At that time, it was in the early stages of the personal computer industry. During his growth, Elaine always hid in his parents' shop and assembled the motherboard of the computer.
