Due to equipment failure, Scooter returned on his way from Xi'an to Singapore. A passenger posted a message saying that he witnessed the engine fire and was “scared to death.”

The incident occurred at around 1 a.m. on Sunday (February 23), and the flight involved was Flight TR135.

Several netizens posted on social media platforms in the early morning that the Scooter TR135 flight from Xianyang International Airport in Shaanxi to Singapore Changi Airport was 10 minutes away from the departure of Shaanxi. Some even said, “The engine lights up when it took off.”

Another netizen posted a video and wrote that he was sitting right behind the engine. “Watching the engine's fire like a rocket with his own eyes was scared to death.”

Videos circulating online show that many passengers are sitting in the shuttle bus provided by the airport. There are many technicians walking around the fuselage of the Scooter outside the window, and there are also many fire and ambulance vehicles waiting in the airport.

According to local media reports, the reason for the return flight was a mechanical failure. Xi'an Xianyang International Airport launched an emergency response, and many other departments such as the airport firefighting were present to deal with it. No reports of casualties were received during the incident. Scoo Airlines customer service confirmed that the flight has been cancelled and all passengers have been properly placed.
