The two defendants are Mo Zhuangyu, 45, and Lin Siyu, 26, respectively, facing two charges of conflict with the highway traffic law; the two car accidents occurred in 2023 and 2024 respectively.
According to the charge, at 11:39 pm on March 26, 2024, Mo Zhuangyu was suspected of running a red light while driving at the junction of Changi Road and Jalan Younos, colliding with an electric bicycle and a car.
The accident killed 38-year-old Malaysian male motorcycle rider Huang Junjie and injured a 55-year-old male car driver.
Lin Siyu was accused of colliding with an electric motorcycle due to failure to pay attention to the road conditions at 8:25 pm on May 13, 2023.
