A crane caught fire at the construction site of the fifth passenger building of Changi Airport, fortunately no one was injured.
The fire occurred at around 4:45 a.m. Tuesday (March 4) at a construction site on Tanah Mela Coast Road. According to information, this location is the construction site of Changi Airport Terminal 5 (T5 for short).
A 55-second video was circulated on social media Facebook on Wednesday afternoon, which showed a crane on a construction site getting fire.
When responding to the enquiry by Lianhe Zaobao, the Singapore Civil Defense Force confirmed that it had received a notice that the fire involved a crane. Firefighters then used fire water pipes and a compressed air foam backpack to put out the fire.
Civil Defense Forces said no one was injured in the accident and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
