Suspected of being out of control and slipping, a private bus rushed onto the sidewalk and broke two big trees before stopping. A 62-year-old male bus leader died of treatment after being sent to the hospital after falling into a coma.

The accident occurred at about 2 pm on Wednesday (March 12). It was on Ounan Road and turned left and entered Yudongxuan Street, close to the 3rd exit of Ounanyuan Metro Station.

According to the footage circulating on social media, a private bus suspected of losing control and rushing onto the curb, crushing the bus and breaking two trees, the entire bus swayed in the sidewalk, and the windshield and rear of the car were damaged. When the accident occurred, the bus was believed to be carrying more than 40 passengers.

When the Lianhe Zaobao photojournalist arrived at the scene at about 3 pm, the bus had been towed back to the lane, and several employees moved their luggage to a trulli, but no passengers were seen. The police also set up a blockade at the scene of the car accident to divert traffic.

The Singapore Police Force confirmed that it had received a report when responding to the Lianhe Zaobao inquiry. The 62-year-old male bus leader was unconscious when he was sent to the hospital and died later. A 47-year-old passenger was sent to the hospital for treatment when he was awake.

Police said the crash also involved a trulli. It is reported that Loli is suspected to be unable to dodge and run into the bus from behind.

When asked, the Singapore Civil Defense Force said that the two were taken to Singapore General Hospital.
