The local robot ecosystem is gradually taking shape, and my country has launched an accelerator program for this field to promote the development of starting companies and small and medium-sized enterprises in this area and help them to enter the international stage.

Dr. Chen Shilong, Minister of Human Resources and Second Minister of Trade and Industry, hosted a promotion ceremony for the new RoboNexus project launched under the National Robotics Programme at the Robot Exhibition held in Punggol Digital Park on Friday (March 14).

Chen Shilong pointed out in his speech that this plan will provide customized support based on the maturity of the starting company. An advisory board composed of experts in public and private sectors will provide resources for participating companies, including providing guidance and access to global markets, as well as connecting technology suppliers.

The new smart network project was piloted in September last year, with a total of six robot companies participating. Three of these companies – LionsBot, KABAM Robotics, and dConstruct Robotics, visited the United States last year to explore opportunities for development into the international market.

Last year, the Chinese government allocated another 60 million yuan for the national robot program to strengthen the transformation of robot R&D results, especially in the fields of manufacturing, logistics, facility management and health care.
