Nuvraj Singh Bassi is a former defensive tackle in the Canadian Football League (CFL) . Born on March 20, 1983, in Vancouver, British Columbia, he played college football for the Oregon Ducks 1l. He was drafted 43rd overall in the 2005 CFL Draft by the BC Lions and also played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Montreal Alouettes during his career.

Bassi made history as the first Sikh in the CFL to wear a turban during a game 2. He is known for his contributions to the sport and his role in breaking barriers for Sikh athletes 2
