CDG Zig accredited platform work association to better protect the rights and interests of workers

CDG Zig, an electric convener under Comfort DeGo, has become the first local platform operator to recognize the National Texas Association and the National Private Taxi Driver Association as Platform Work Association, so that these associations can fight for rights and interests for drivers.

CDG Zig, the National Association of Texas and the National Association of Private Taxi Drivers issued a joint statement on Thursday (February 20) stating that according to the Platform Personnel Act that came into effect in January this year, CDG Zig officially let the Platform Work Association represent Texas. With private car drivers, set an example for other platform operators and work together to help platform staff better respond to challenges.

Since CDG Zig is one of the operators that cooperate with the most taxi and private car drivers, Yang Weiling, Assistant Secretary-General of the National Workers Association, described CDG Zig's recognition as an important milestone, allowing the association to speak out for the platform staff more effectively.

Yang Weiling also serves as a consultant to the National Association of Texas and the National Association of Private Taxi Drivers. She said: “Through a more systematic communication method, we can better solve the concerns of drivers such as income security and work safety. Based on the existing cooperation with CDG Zig, we also look forward to providing care for the lives and livelihoods of our workers. More substantial impacts.”

Platform personnel refer to those who use digital platforms to provide services such as taxi, private car pickup, meal delivery and delivery. At present, there are about 67,600 platform personnel in the local area. Last month, the General Office of the People's Government announced that according to the new law, three industry associations representing taxi drivers, private car drivers, food deliverymen and deliverymen have been officially registered as Platform Work Associations.

After these industry associations become platform work associations, they have legal powers similar to trade unions and can sign legally binding collective agreements with operators on behalf of platform personnel.
