Singaporeans over the age of 18 can use the Singapore Cultural Pass 100 yuan from September 1 this year to enjoy and participate in local art and cultural activities. Pass points are valid for three years. Until December 31, 2028, the public can browse local art and cultural activities covered by the special website plan and purchase tickets on the same website.
The government will invest 300 million yuan to launch the Singapore Cultural Pass program in the next three years, allowing more Singaporeans to access local art and cultural heritage. The program aims to build a strong Singaporean audience base to support and reflect our country’s confidence in local art and culture.
Prime Minister and Finance Minister Hwang Hsung-Cai announced the SG60 package when he issued the 2025 fiscal year budget statement on Tuesday (February 18), including the newly launched SG Culture Pass. Minister of Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister of the Ministry of Justice Tang Zhenhui held a collective meeting on Friday (21st) to share with local arts and cultural figures related to the government's plans to be launched next.
According to information released by the Ministry of Culture, Society and Youth, points for the Singapore Cultural Pass can be used to offset ticket fees for participating in various local arts and cultural heritage projects. These projects include experiences such as performances, exhibitions, study tours and workshops, as well as other cultural activities. At that time, the public can also browse local art and cultural activities through the one-stop platform “Singapore Cultural Pass Website”.
The validity period of points is three years, from September 1, 2025 to December 31, 2028. The public can use it through authorized ticketing service providers. The authorities remind that points can only be used from September 1st, and the public does not need to take action to apply from now until September 1st to prevent fraudulent websites.
