The accident occurred at about 2:45 pm on Sunday (February 23), at the junction of Compassvale Bow and Sengkang East Road.
Public Chen Dakun (48 years old, electronics engineer) informed the Xinming Daily that he was parked in front of the traffic light and wanted to turn right, while an electric bicycle was parked in front of him.
“I went to find a friend for tea. When I was waiting for the traffic light, I suddenly heard a loud noise and found a car accident ahead.”
According to the driving recorder footage he provided, he and the cyclist were waiting for the green light. When the “green arrow” on the right appeared, the cyclist began to turn right. A black car was running straight in the opposite direction and hit a motorcycle. The cavalier was knocked away on the spot and then fell heavily on the road.
