Yang Jiamin, the first female singles in my country, defeated the sixth-seeded Vietnamese player Ruan Chuiling in the final of the German Badminton Open (Super 300) on Sunday (March 2) local time and won the championship.

Yang Jiamin resisted Ruan Chuiling's attack in the first game and won the first game 21-16. In the second game, Ruan Chuiling made frequent mistakes in returning the ball, and Yang Jiamin was not ruthless. She won two consecutive games 21-17, winning the first championship in 2025.

This is their third encounter. Yang Jiamin won both of the previous two matches.

As the number one women's singles in the tournament, Yang Jiamin first eliminated Danish female player Amalie Schulz in the quarterfinals, and defeated Japanese 19-year-old Akita Yona in the quarterfinals. In the semi-finals, Mia Blichfeldt, a compatriot of No. 4 seed, Amele, and reached the final.
