In order to make local mental health support more normalized and popularized, the government will launch a brand new Youth Mental Health Center by the end of this year. This is also the first service center in Singapore that provides one-stop comprehensive mental health assistance for young people and caregivers.

Dr. Pujieli, the Ministry of Health and Senior Secretary of Administration of Digital Development and Information, announced the above news on Friday (March 7) when debating the Ministry of Health expenditure budget on the Congressional Appropriations Committee.

The “grovve” Youth Mental Health Centre, jointly created by the National Welfare Council (NCSS) and different stakeholders, is located in the *SCAPE Youth Centre on Orchard Road, covering an area of ​​about 720 square meters.

Pujieli emphasized that the center is located in places where many young people often go to, hoping to normalize and popularize mental health services. “'grovve' will help build communities and make youth an advocate and supporter of mental health.”

The Ministry of Health's statement revealed that the center will provide a range of mental health services to young people aged between 13 and 25 and their caregivers, including mental health screening, triage and intervention services, as well as recreational activities such as yoga, art and photography to improve overall health.
