Wen Lidao had a family murder case, and a man was found dead in a HDB unit. The brother who lived with him was later arrested by the police.

The accident occurred in a unit on the 11th floor of the HDB flat, Block 187, Wenli Road. When the police were inquired, they confirmed that they received the notice at 11:35 am on March 11. When the police arrived at the scene, they found a 56-year-old man who died in the unit and a 58-year-old man was arrested for involving the murder case. The two met.

When the reporter of Lianhe Zaobao arrived at the scene, the police had already set up a blockade line on the 11th floor of the HDB flat, and the investigators continued to go in and out of the unit to investigate and search for evidence. The coroner carried the body out of the unit at around 5:30 pm and was taken away by a black car.

According to Lianhe Zaobao, the deceased and the arrested man are two brothers.

The neighbor who did not want to be named told Lianhe Zaobao that the two of them were alone most of the time and rarely dealt with their neighbors. Occasionally, men's screams and scoldings came from the unit, but there was nothing unusual before the incident.

The neighbor also said that the two brothers' mental state did not seem to be very good. The unit usually has a deep door, and the two brothers rarely go out, so the neighbors do not know the family.

Huang Peibo (93 years old, retired), who has lived in a HDB flat for 34 years, said in an interview that he would occasionally meet the arrested man and another woman while taking the elevator. Every time he greeted them, they would just nod or ignore them directly. “More than 10 years ago, their father lived with them, but he didn't see it for a long time.”

Neighbor Zai (21 years old, clinic assistant) who lives next door to the unit where the crime was killed said that she saw a man wearing glasses being cobbled with his hands at about 1 pm and sitting in the corridor next to the elevator. “He was wearing a blue T-shirt and his eyes were dull.”

Another neighbor, Neshian (37 years old, retail assistant), told reporters that he had only met two brothers, but he often heard a woman's cough next door, so he believed that there was still a woman living in the unit.

Neshian said that his brother wore glasses and was tall and a little bald, while his younger brother was thin and not tall. She said that she usually only stays at home at night and sometimes she hears her brother yelling, but is not sure if she is arguing.

Police later took several bags of evidence from the unit, including dormitory supplies that appear to be pillows or sheets.

According to Lianhe Zaobao, the deceased is likely to be suffocated to death by being suffocated from behind the neck.

When asked, the police said that the investigation was still in progress and the cause of the deceased's death needs to be further confirmed.
