The 66-year-old private party leader suspected of operating illegal gambling files and drug-related crimes fled abroad four years ago. He was recently arrested for committing crimes in Malaysia and has been extradited back to our country for face-catching.

The Singapore Police Force issued a statement on Thursday (March 13) saying that on October 24, 2018, investigators from the Criminal Investigation Bureau, Police Intelligence Bureau, Special Operations Command, Bedok Police Station, Kinmantai Police Station and Dongling Police Station launched raids at more than 10 locations including Geylang, Sengkang, Bedok and Ang Mo Kio.

19 people were arrested for suspected illegal operation of underground gambling files in Lanes 14 and Lanes 16 of Geylang, and the 66-year-old man was one of them. This private association is organized and hires dealers, assistants and promoters. Some people are also trying to find out whether the police are conducting raids.

On March 10, 2021, 19 people were charged in court for violating the Common Gaming House Act. The 66-year-old man was also charged with violating the Organised Crime Act, the Drug Abuse Act and the Drug Abuse Ordinance.

However, the 66-year-old man then absconded and never appeared in court to be tried, and the national court issued an arrest warrant. On February 13, 2025, the Royal Malaysian Police informed our police that a 66-year-old man was arrested in Malaysia for suspected immigration and fined RM3,000 (about S$900).
